- Home Brewing
Having
something that you can proudly share with family and friends is
a satisfying outcome of a hobby. This is especially true
when the process is no more difficult than baking a cake.
Some people approach home beermaking cautiously, wondering if
the end result will taste any good. With 10 years of experience,
we can assure you: yes, it will taste good.
Think
about it this way: Did you know that the largest selling chocolate
chip cookie is Chips Ahoy by Nabisco ? It's true, but if
you were asked if you wanted a Chips Ahoy or one of your grandmother's
homemade fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies, which one
would you choose? That's right, most of us would choose the chocolate
chip cookie, the reason being that it's made special to your liking.
Grandma adds the right kind of nuts or uses that special kind
of chips in her own unique recipe. Whatever it is, you know they're
the best.
Budweiser
is the worlds largest brewery with Bud Light being the worlds
largest selling beer. Just like the giant cookie manufacturer,
they know what the majority of the population will drink. In home
beermaking, you don't need to think about the rest of the population.
You can custom fit a beer to your own unique taste. It will be
one of a kind, something to be proud of and probably won't cost
you any more than a can of Bud Light.
There's no magic to beermaking,
just basic scientific and cooking
procedures to combine gains, malt, hops, water and yeast to turn
them into a golden bubbly tasty beverage. It's so easy, anyone
can do it, as long as you are of legal drinking age.

We suggest that you start with a basic "all inclusive" kit. Our
staff can help you pick one that suits your taste. Read about
home beermaking so that you have some general knowledge. When
you are sure that you have the right supplies and equipment, go
ahead and start! That is where the fun begins!
The
Cornhusker Beverage Mart has a large supply of Beermaking and
Winemaking supplies. If there is something you want that is not
on hand, special orders are easy and with a wide range of wholesalers,
it's hard to stump our staff.
